MEET LUCY
About Lucy
Embark Founder, Lucy Parker, is a trained and qualified counsellor, psychotherapist, coach, yoga teacher, meditation teacher and breath-work facilitator. She works primarily through the IFS (Internal Family Systems) modality of therapy.
A widow, wife and mother, she describes herself as a “living breathing human becoming - embarking on my own journey many years ago and continuing to bear witness to the adventure.”
Lucy began working privately with clients in 2010 as a yoga, breath-work and meditation teacher. She added in her training and experience as a counsellor and coach in 2022 to work with the whole human condition, body, mind and spirit.
Working therapeutically with hundreds of clients has taught her one key thing:
“We are all ultimately searching for health, to feel truly whole.”
Registered through the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), Lucy has been awarded a level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching from the University of East London. This unique, pioneering model takes a fully integrated 360-degree view of every person, seamlessly and progressively exploring their past, present and future dynamics within the therapy space. She is a Level 1 Trained IFS Therapist and has already signed up for Level 2!
“Our bodies are much more than ‘taxis for our brains’. That’s why my personal approach to counselling respects and validates our bodies as much as our minds, head, heart, belly & spirit.”

I invite you to be inspired to Embark through the words ‘Start Close In’ by David Whyte:
Start close in,
don’t take the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step
you don’t want to take.
Start with
the ground
you know,
the pale ground
beneath your feet,
your own
way to begin
the conversation.
An Invitation to Brave Space
Together we will create brave space
Because there is no such thing as a “safe space”
We exist in the real world
We all carry scars and we have all caused wounds.
In this space
We seek to turn down the volume of the outside world,
We amplify voices that fight to be heard elsewhere,
We call each other to more truth and love
We have the right to start somewhere and continue to grow.
We have the responsibility to examine what we think we know,
We will not be perfect.
This space will not be perfect.
It will not always be what we wish it to be
But
It will be our brave space together,
and
We will work in it side by side….
